Sunday 8th December 2019
Wairoa Gorge Bike Park, Nelson
TECHNICAL LEVEL – GRADE 2 TO 4
This will be the very first Enduro2 event held in New Zealand – and we are amped! Numbers for this one are limited to only 75 teams.
Wairoa Gorge Bike Park is situated 60 minutes drive from Nelson CBD and is recognised as probably the best handmade bike park in the world. The Gorge is incredible, both in terms of trail length and diversity and raw natural beauty, but it also has a reputation for being a challenging place to ride that is hard on bodies and hard on bikes. This has put a lot of riders off visiting, but The Gorge also has a wide range of flowing and intermediate grade trails that we will use exclusively for this event.
Our team of trail selectors has spent over 100 hours riding at The Gorge and know it like the back of their hands. They have ridden there with a wide range of visitors of all ages and skill levels and know exactly what trails have the grin factor we want for all our Enduro2 riders.
Trust us – this event is going to be a massive amount of fun for anyone of intermediate skill level and upwards….with plenty of high-speed fun and awesome flowy trails to keep the advanced riders stoked, too.
Everyone is welcome – Mixed teams, all-Female, and all-Male teams alike.
E-bikes are equally welcome at Enduro2, either as part of an e-bike pairing, or in a mixed team with a non-powered team-mate. (E-bike-only pairings will enter their own race category and be treated to a special e-bike technical climbing stage during the race).
Age limit is 16 years, or 13 years if entering as a pair with a responsible parent or guardian.
Sat 25th – Sun 26th April 2020
Wairoa Gorge Bike Park, Nelson
TECHNICAL LEVEL – GRADE 3 TO 5
ONLINE ENTRIES OPEN 1 MARCH 2020 AT 19:00
The full-fat Enduro2 New Zealand event will be held over two days (Sat – Sun) on the most fun trails the Gorge has to offer. You won’t want to miss out. We’ll follow the shuttle-accessed format with a bit of pedalling thrown in too.
Day 1 will be a range of Grade 3 to 4 trails (similar to the previous Enduro2 event in December)
Day 2 steps up to Grade 4 and Grade 4+ level trails – but any Hero-level trails will definitely be left off the menu!
The course is designed to be accessible to all riders of an intermediate-and-up experience and especially those who may never have raced before. Enduro2 is definitely not a race for only the race-hardened elite and semi-pros out there.
Head over to our social media pages (links at base of this page) or check out our other Enduro2 Global series sites to get a feel for the Pairs-Enduro vibe that is heading this way soon!
Entries are limited to 100 riders (50 Teams of two).
A range of entry options will be available, allowing riders to jump-in for 1-Day only, although we’d have to recommend the full-fat 2-day experience especially if you are coming in from out of town.
We’d say its going to be one hell of a party to end the riding season with – and we’ll see you there!
